— 3 Signs Your Marriage Can Be Saved
Hey YouTube, Natalie Sayward here. I’m a marriage guru from Toronto Ontario, and today I’m going to share with you three signs that your marriage can be saved.
Now I know this sounds like a hefty claim, but I have personally used these tips and today my husband and I are happier than ever!
So then, let’s get started.
1. Your spouse is willing to talk about your issues.
If you and your husband or wife still feel comfortable openly talking about the issues in your marriage then that’s a great sign that your marriage can in fact be saved.
Since most marriages fall apart when one partner refuses to address problems or shuts down anytime something important comes up, if communication is still flowing between you and your spouse then believe me, you’re in a good place.
That said, if your spouse hasn’t been the most open with you lately not all hope is lost. In this case you will want to focus on making him or her feel safe enough to discuss their emotions. It might take some time and patience, but once you’re there, you’ll be heading in the right direction.
If you’re interested in learning some powerful tips for improving communication with your spouse then I highly suggest that you visit www.preventdivorcenow.com and watch the free video presentation. Believe me, you don’t want to miss this one.
2. You still enjoy each other’s company
There’s no denying that at some point in time you and your spouse were friends. After all, it’s the basis of where most relationships start. So, if you’re still each other’s go-to person for a fun night out or a sweet little lunch break, or if your ideal night is simply spending it on the couch with your spouse, then yes, despite whatever issues you may be facing in your marriage, the relationship can still be saved.
The key to being friends with your spouse is to be the person who they feel most comfortable around. The one who they can laugh and let loose with. The one who helps them forget about all the problems of their everyday life.
Maybe this is an area that needs some TLC, but if you’re still going out on dates together, or spending your free time side-by-side, then again, you’re in a good place to work on saving your marriage.
3. You both take responsibility for the issues in your marriage
This one is a big one.
An issue that often arises when there’s trouble in paradise is the blame game. This usually happens when couples let their emotions get the best of them, and instead of talking about their feelings, they become resentful and blame one another for the problems in their marriage.
So, if you and your spouse are taking responsibility for the issues you face, then that’s a sure sign that your marriage can be saved. If you’re not quite there yet, that’s okay too.
Often times it takes one spouse to step up and acknowledge their shortcomings before the other will willingly follow suite. So, if you’re looking to work through your marital issues then it may require you to be the bigger person, and recognize how your actions are negatively impacting the relationship.
